A flag A romanticized rag A trinket held dear And a book once thought queer A reason For treason Or a season Of lies A sword for the kingdom Or for the lord of the flies A parasitic infection Corruption of the air An eruption of evil Or a flower so fair A coin of great value Or a metal once in the ground A single thought repressed Or a million drowned A new king is crowned Deceiver of  masses No different than the last But seemingly sweet to the classes A revolution could be good But in the end what has changed When the leaders have been replaced Won’t the same evils be exchanged?
